For this workshop we were simply told to go off with our phones and find inspiration in our environment and take photos of anything we found interesting or out of place, I spent a lot of this time wandering around completely clueless as to what to do, until I saw an albino white pigeon and a black pigeon next to each-other, for some reason I found this to be an extremely interesting sight and decided to capture that, after this I decided that my theme was to be black and white/high contrast, so I decided to look out for anything that correlated to that theme, and while all I found on the rest of that walk was a couple shop signs, I notice that I was wearing clothes that had black and white on, so I decided to take photos of that too. We returned to the workshop and discussed eachother's findings, ideas, etc. After the workshop, while waiting outside for my friend I decided I would create some more shots myself, this is where I got the ones of the chair against the white wall and the paper on the black tiles. At this point I figured I had enough images to put them together in some way and be done with it, however, at home, while doing this, I noticed it was a full moon and it was particularly bright, with very few clouds in sight, so I decided to add that too. The idea of black and white, to me, represents minimalism, simplicity and comfort, as there's no confusion, obstruction or grayness involved, just clear, clean contrast. I chose the grid sort of format as this continued the idea of simplicity, organisation and ease. The use of black and white in media, I feel, can reflect contrast and difference, however, sometimes I feel they can compliment each other and work together to make an image pop.

In the Abbey Road cover for example, the contrast in their suits really promotes variety and progress in a way.
The cover of Red Hot Chilli Peppers' Blood Sugar Sex Magik cover how they solely use the colours black, white and red to make a very aesthetically interesting image.
